Press Release September 25, 2019 CFS # Date Address Two vehicle crash - no injury CFS19-26913 09/21/19 HWY 151, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818 On September 21st at approximately 8:19 p.m., Arianna Frost, age 21 of Valders, WI, was traveling north on Hwy 151 in her 2006 Saturn Ion when she attempted to turn onto Southwest Road. Frost did not see John Quinones, age 21 of Madison, WI, traveling south on Hwy 151 in his 2013 Honda Accord. Frost's vehicle struck the driver's side rear corner of the Quinones vehicle causing it to go into the ditch. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and Donnie's Tire and Tow assisted. Frost was cited for failure to yield right of way. One Vehicle Crash with no injuries. Press Release September 16, 2019 CFS # Date Address Intoxicated Man Arrested in Tavern with a Gun CFS19-25891 09/12/19 7911 CTY U, BEETOWN, WI 53802 On September 12, 2019 at 12:18 pm Grant County Deputies responded to a report of a male subject who had made somevague comments of being on the news and was in possession of a pistol inside Yesterdaze Tavern located at 7911 CTY U in the Township ofBeetown. Deputies located Brian Irish, age 60 from the rural Lancaster area, and detained him while they investigated the  were able to locate the pistol Irish had hidden outside of the bar once he had learned the authorities had been called. The firearm was loaded and Irish was discovered to be impaired as well as a convicted felon. Irish was also discovered to be in possession of marijuanaand drug paraphernalia. Irish was arrested for: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon,Carrying a Handgun Where Alcoholic Beverages May Be Sold and Consumed, ...

Press Release September 10, 2019 CFS # Date Address Minor 2 Vehicle Crash CFS19-25234 09/06/19 HWY 11 near FAIRPLAY RD., HAZEL GREEN, WI 53811 On 09/06/19 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sally L. Wiegel, age 34 of Shullsburg, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 11 when she quickly appliedher brakes for a a vehicle that was turning on Fairplay Rd. Brittany L. Huffracker, age 30 of Marion, IA, was traveling behind Sally and wasunable to stop in time to avoid striking Sally's vehicle. Sally's 2013 Mazda 6 and Brittany's 2013 Ford Escape both sustained minor damage. Brittany was transported to Mercy hospital for minor injuries. Brittany's son, age 7, was also transported for possible injuries. Hazel Green Fire,Hazel Green EMS and Kieler Service Center assisted at the scene. Press Release September 3, 2019 CFS # Date Address Platteville Man Killed in One Vehicle Rollover Crash CFS19-24688 09/01/19 CTY Q WEST, MONTFORT, WI On 09/01/19 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Brandon L. Fuerstenburg, 21, of Platteville, was driving westbound on County Highway Q, just west of County G, with Jonathan S. Paredes, 29, of Chicago, as a passenger. Brandon failed to negotiate a corner and lost control of his 2010 Toyota Scion causing it to roll, ejecting both occupants. Brandon was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner's Office and Jonathan was air lifted by Medflight to UW-Madison for treatment (condition unknown at this time). The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Wisconsin State Patrol, Fennimore EMS, Fennimore Fire Department, Montfort EMS, and Haase Towing. The crash remains under investigation.
