One Vehicle Crash

On September 27, 2020 at approximately 12:02 PM Zachary Glessner, age 19 of Evansville, WI, was traveling West on Patch Road near the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road, Smelser Township in his  2012 Chevrolet Colorado. Due to rainy weather, the road conditions were wet with standing water. Glessner was driving at a high rate of speed which caused the Colorado to hydroplane and go into the ditch on the South side of the roadway and crash. Glessner was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. Glessner was cited for speeding. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by SOS Towing of Platteville.

Two Vehicle Accident

2 Vehicle Crash, No Injuries Address HWY 80 / HWY 151, PLATTEVILLE, WI On September 26, 2020 at approximately 5:50 PM on Highway 80/81 near the intersection of Highway 151, Platteville Township, Roger Andrews, age 64 of Belmont, was traveling North on Highway 80 in his 2002 Cadillac Escalade. As he was approaching the intersection of the off-ramp of Highway 151 Shayna Croft, age 31 of Platteville, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Classic on the off ramp, exiting Hwy 151. Andrews saw that Croft was not slowing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 80/81. Croft failed to stop at the stop sign crashing into Andrews's Escalade. No injuries were sustained in the crash and all involved drivers and passengers were wearing safety belts. Croft was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and for operating with a suspended drivers license. Vehicle vs Buggy Grant county

Vehicle vs Amish Buggy - minor injury HWY 80, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818  On September 28, 2020 at 6:02 p.m., William A. Richard (71) of Platteville was traveling south in his 2017 Chrysler 200 on STH 80 just South of Stub Road in Lima Township when he was unable to avoid crashing into an Amish Buggy being driven by Ephraim S. Lapp (30) of Platteville. Lapp was thrown from the buggy and sustained an injury to his hand but refused treatment. The horse was uninjured in the crash however the buggy was a complete loss. Richard was not injured in the crash. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was able to be driven from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
