Richland County Sheriff's Department 181 West Seminary Street Richland Center, WI 53581 608-647-2106 Iowa County Sheriff’s Department 1205 North Bequette Street Dodgeville, WI 53533 608-935-3314 Grant County Sheriff’s Department 1000 North Adams Street Lancaster, WI 53813 608-723-2157 On 06-26-19 the Richland-Iowa Grant Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 206 Dwight St. in the City of Boscobel.  Inside the residence officers located methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, marijuana and other items related to the distribution of methamphetamine.  Mathew A. McCracken. 34 of Boscobel was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail on two outstanding felony warrants. McCracken will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s Office for the following charges. Farming accident injures 20 month old

Farming accident injures 20 month old CFS19-16628 06/18/19 UNION RD, Platteville Wisconsin. On June 18, 2019 at approximately 7:02 pm, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a 20 month old boy who was involved in a farmingaccident at a residence on Union Road. James Zimmerman was working in the barn and turned to shut the conveyor off. When he did, his 20 month old boy fell into the conveyor. The 20 month old boy suffered a serious injury to his right arm, right hand, right shoulder, left hand and chest. A Sheriff's Deputy and Southwest Health EMS arrived on scene and stabilized Brandon for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Southwest Health EMS and the Platteville Fire Department for setting up a landing zone for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office determined this a accident.

Grant County Reports

On June 14th at approximately 9:04pm the Sheriff's Office was notified of a one vehicle crash at the intersection of Snowbottom Road andCounty G in Wingville Township. It was found that 16 year old Carlee Kosharek, of Highland, was operating a 2008 Chevy Malibu westboundon Snowbottom Road. Kosharek was unfamiliar with the road and using a navigation app on a phone. Kosharek stated she was talking to her passenger and didn't realize she was approaching the intersection on County G. Kosharek failed to stop at the stop sign and drove through the intersection and off the road on the west side of County G. Kosharek's vehicle went down a steep hill before hitting a ditch and coming to a rest in a field. Kosharek received minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The passenger, 18 year old Trevor Wanek, of Blue River, was uninjured. Both were wearing seatbelts. One Vehicle Rholl Over

One Vehicle Roll Over CFS19-15946 06/12/19 500 HWY 35/61/151, HAZEL GREEN, WI On June 12, 2019 at approximately 11:04 AM Patrick Brandle (Rock Island, IL) was traveling south on Hwy 151 near mile marker 1 in his 2009Ford SUV. Brandle was traveling in the outside lane of traffic when he failed to maintain control of the Ford and drove into the median. Brande struck a culvert causing the Ford to overturn 2 times coming to rest on its passenger side. Brandle was stuck inside the vehicle and the Jaws team from the Dickeyville Fire Department quickly responded and were able to remove Brandle from his vehicle. Brandle was transported to alocal hospital by Dickeyville EMS. Brandle was issued a citation for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Jamestown First Responders, Dickeyville Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS, and Automatic Towing

CAR VERSUS SEMI

On June 10, 2019 at approximately 10:45 a.m,. a semi driven by Joan Holtz of Cedar Rapids was going north on Hwy 151 in the right lane approaching Hill Climb Rd when a car being driven by Jeanette Lindholm of Belmont entered the north bound lane of traffic and then into right lane where a crash occurred with the semi. The semi slid into the grass median and the car slid into a rock wall on the east side of the highway. Holtz was transported to Southwest Health Center by personal vehicle with minor injuries. Jeanette Lindholm and Homer Lindholm,a passenger in the car, were both transported to Finley Hospital in Dubuque for their injuries. The 2015 Peterbilt truck driven by Holtz and the 2005 Buick were removed from the scene by Guys Towing of Kieler. Assisting at the scene were the Dickeyville Fire Department, Jamestown Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS, Platteville EMS, Platteville Police Department, Dickeyville Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol. GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF, DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, AND U.S. MARSHALS CONDUCT SEX OFFENDER COMPLIANCE

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF, DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, AND U.S. MARSHALS CONDUCT SEX OFFENDER COMPLIANCE CHECK Grant County, Wis. – The US Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections  the Sex Offender Registry Program and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders. On May 28 th and 29, the deputies checked theAddresses of 81 registered sex offenders in Grant County. Six were found to be non-compliant. The Sex Offender Registry Program Specialist will investigate and make recommendations to the district Attorney as necessary. This initiative is part of the working relationship between the US Marshals Sex Offender Investigations Branch and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registration the program which monitors all 24,187 Wisconsin Sex Offenders. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections maintain a database for the general public at  http://offender.doc.state.wi.us/public/.

GRANT COUNTY WISCONSIN REPORTS

Traffic complaint results in OWI arrest CFS19-15339 06/05/19 HWY 133, BOSCOBEL, WI 53805 On June 5th at approximately 9:42 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office received several calls of a vehicle traveling west on Hwy 133 from Blue River to Boscobel. The vehicle was swerving all over the road and running vehicles off the roadway. A Grant County Deputy located the  vehicle and observed it driving down the left side of the highway. The Deputy was able to get the vehicle stopped before it caused a crash. Tiffany Weiland, age 26 of Gotham WI, was driving her 2014 Chevrolet Cruz. After a brief investigation, Weiland was arrested for OWI 1st offense. Weiland was cited for OWI 1st and operating left of Center. Grant County was assisted on scene by the Boscobel Police  Department. **Persons arrested by the Grant County Sheriff's Office are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
