Farming accident injures 20 month old CFS19-16628 06/18/19 UNION RD, Platteville Wisconsin. On June 18, 2019 at approximately 7:02 pm, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a 20 month old boy who was involved in a farmingaccident at a residence on Union Road. James Zimmerman was working in the barn and turned to shut the conveyor off. When he did, his 20 month old boy fell into the conveyor. The 20 month old boy suffered a serious injury to his right arm, right hand, right shoulder, left hand and chest. A Sheriff's Deputy and Southwest Health EMS arrived on scene and stabilized Brandon for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Southwest Health EMS and the Platteville Fire Department for setting up a landing zone for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office determined this a accident.
CFS20-17002 Date 07/16/20 ONE VEHICLE CRASH WITH MINOR DAMAGE Address HWY 18 / OAK RD, FENNIMORE, WI 53809 On July 16, 2020, at approximately 7:55 A.M., Jessica Kricke (22 of Fennimore), was driving her 2009 Lincoln MKZ wes on Hwy 18 in Mt. Ida Township, when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road and drove into the north ditch. Kricke drove over several large rocks in the ditch, which caused damage to the undercarriage of her vehicle. Collision Specialists responded and removed the vehicle from the ditch. Kricke was wearing her seat belt and wasn't injured in the crash. No charges will be filed in this matter. CFS20-17036 07/16/20 Attempt to locate suspicious vehicle Pine Grove Road / Whig Rd, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818 On July 16, 2020 at approximately 2:00 PM a juvenile female was jogging on Pine Grove Road near the intersection of Whig Road, Platteville Township. Vehicle vs Amish Buggy - minor injury HWY 80, PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818 On September 28, 2020 at 6:02 p.m., William A. Richard (71) of Platteville was traveling south in his 2017 Chrysler 200 on STH 80 just South of Stub Road in Lima Township when he was unable to avoid crashing into an Amish Buggy being driven by Ephraim S. Lapp (30) of Platteville. Lapp was thrown from the buggy and sustained an injury to his hand but refused treatment. The horse was uninjured in the crash however the buggy was a complete loss. Richard was not injured in the crash. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was able to be driven from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
