HIT & RUN, PROPERTY DAMAGE
CFS20-02022 01/23/20 13200 BLOCK OF CTY Q, FENNIMORE, WI 53809

On January 23, 2020, at approximately 8:00 A.M., a vehicle was driving east on Cth Q in Fennimore Township, when it lost control on the snow covered road. The vehicle drove into the south ditch and struck a TDS junction box, before leaving the scene. This investigation remains open and if anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact the Sheriff's Office or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-789-6600.


Car vs. Power Pole/Fire
CFS20-02042 01/23/20 CTY U / RATTLESNAKE RD, CASSVILLE, WI 53806

On January 23, 2020 at approximately 6:00 PM on County U near the intersection of Rattlesnake Road, Beetown Township Brad Kruppe, age 25 of Platteville, was traveling South on County U in his 1993 Ford Ranger. Road conditions were snow covered and slippery due to inclement
weather. Kruppe hit a slick spot in the roadway causing his Ranger to go into the ditch line on the West side of the roadway. The Ranger crashed into a power pole owned by Scenic Rivers and came to rest South of the power pole. Kruppe left the scene to contact law enforcement. While Kruppe was away from the scene his Ranger caught fire becoming fully engulfed in flames. The Bloomington Fire
Department responded to scene and was able to get the fire extinguished. The Ranger was a total loss. Kruppe was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Bloomington Fire Department, West Grant EMS, and B&M Towing, Bloomington.
