Two Vehicle Crash
CFS19-33115 11/22/19 HWY 61 / ABING RD, POTOSI, WI
On November 22, 2019 at approximately 12:47 the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a two vehicle crash at theintersection of Hwy 61 and Abing Rd located in the Township of Potosi. Susan Boyer, age 59 from rural Potosi, was traveling northbound on Hwy 61 in her 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Boyer was slowing and turning left (westbound) onto Abing Rd. At the same time Rozanne Long, age 73 from Potosi was also traveling northbound on Hwy 61 in her 2011 Chevy Malibu. Long did not see the Boyer vehicle slowing and turning. Long attempted to veer to the left to avoid a collision but Boyer had already begun her turn. Long struck the rear driver's side of the Boyer vehicle with the front passenger's side of her vehicle. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing their safety belts and there were no reported injuries. Both vehicle were still drivable after the crash and removed by their operators. CFS19-33151 11/22/19 Hwy 80, CUBA CITY, WI 53807
On 11/22/19 at approximately 8:30 pm, the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a traffic complaint of a truck driving erratically southbound on Hwy 80, south of Platteville. The complainant stated the vehicle almost struck multiple cars and almost went into the ditch on the opposite
side of the road. A Grant County Sheriff's Deputy and a Cuba City Police Officer located the vehicle just north of Cuba City. A traffic stop was made and Thomas F. Bowden, 65, of Platteville, was identified as the driver. Thomas refused field sobriety tests and he was placed under
arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense. He was transported to Southwest Health Center where a blood draw was done. Thomas was then released to a responsible party. Thomas was also cited for Possession of Marijuana.

indication that probable cause exists to bring formal charges.** The names of victims and witnesses to a crime have been withheld in
accordance with §950.04.
