Two vehicle crash with injuries
CFS19-23406 08/20/19

On August 20, 2019 at approximately 6:03 p.m., the Grant County Dispatch Center received a call of a two vehicle crash on Main Street at St. Ann Street in Dickeyville. David J. Vosberg (36 ) of Dickeyville was traveling north on Main Street in his 2015 Jeep Patriot. Vosberg did not see Kelly A. Recker (54) of Dubuque traveling south in her 2017 Ford Focus. Vosberg turned in front of Recker. The vehicles crashed head on in the south bound lane. Recker was transported to Finley Hospital in Dubuque by the Dickeyville EMS. Vosberg was transported to Southwest Health Care in Platteville by the Potosi EMS. Also assisting were the Dickeyville Fire Dept. , Jamestown Fire Dept., Jamestown First Responders, Kieler Auto Mall Towing and Wenzel Towing of Dubuque. Vosberg was cited for fail to yield right of way.

Fatal ATV Crash
CFS19-23834 08/24/19 MARSHA LN, POTOSI, WI 53820

On Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 9:50pm, the Grant County Sheriff's Office took a report of an ATV crash with injuries, on Marsha Ln., in the Town of Paris. Dickeyville EMS, Potosi EMS, Jamestown Fire Department and Potosi Fire Department all responded to the scene, along with Deputies from the Grant County Sheriff's Office and a Warden from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The preliminary investigation showed that 27 year old David Post of rural Potosi, was traveling southbound on Marsha Ln., when he lost control of his Honda ATV, and was thrown from the vehicle. As a result of his injuries, Post was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner's Office. One of Post's dogs was also killed as a result of the crash as well. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Three Vehicle Crash 10/07/20 County Road U / Salis Road, POTOSI, WI On October 7, 2020 at 5:21 PM the Grant County Dispatch Center received a report of a three vehicle crash at County Road U and Salis Road. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Ryan Flesch, age 31 of Potosi, was traveling east on County Road U, behind a 2005 Toyota Sienna, driven by Hilary Sahr, age 39 of Cassville. Sahr activated her right turn signal and began to slow to turn right onto Salis Road. Flesch did not see that Sahr was slowing to make a turn and struck the rear of her vehicle. The impact caused the Sahr's vehicle to cross the center line and spin around and strike a 2013 Volkswagen Passat, being driven by Randy Reynolds of Potosi, coming to a rest in the westbound lane. Between the three vehicle's involved there were 11 occupants. Flesch was cited as a result of the crash. Press Release September 10, 2019 CFS # Date Address Minor 2 Vehicle Crash CFS19-25234 09/06/19 HWY 11 near FAIRPLAY RD., HAZEL GREEN, WI 53811 On 09/06/19 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sally L. Wiegel, age 34 of Shullsburg, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 11 when she quickly appliedher brakes for a a vehicle that was turning on Fairplay Rd. Brittany L. Huffracker, age 30 of Marion, IA, was traveling behind Sally and wasunable to stop in time to avoid striking Sally's vehicle. Sally's 2013 Mazda 6 and Brittany's 2013 Ford Escape both sustained minor damage. Brittany was transported to Mercy hospital for minor injuries. Brittany's son, age 7, was also transported for possible injuries. Hazel Green Fire,Hazel Green EMS and Kieler Service Center assisted at the scene. Fatal Crash Near Potosi WI.

Two Vehicle crash results in fatality Address HWY 35/61 / ABING RD, POTOSI, WI 53820 On Wednesday,  April 8, 2020 at approximately 6:35 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 35/61 and Abing Road in Potosi Township.  Grant County Sheriff's Office Deputies, along with the Potosi Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the scene. During the investigation it was determined that a 2016 Kenworth Semi, owned by Zimmerman Transfer, Inc. of Dodgeville, WI ,was being driven by 54 year old Brian Cathman of Lancaster.  Cathman was heading south on Hwy 35/16 when a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, owned by H/E Squared Construction LLC of Bloomington, WI, failed to stop at the posted stop sign on Abing Road at Hwy 35/61.  The driver, 42 year old James Hendrickson of Bloomington, WI drove through the intersection and struck the passenger side of the south bound semi.  Mr. Hendrickson was not wearing his seat belt and was eje...
