Grant County Traffic Accidents.

Two Vehicle Accident 

On October 16, 2020 at approximately 12:00 PM Barbara Glissendorf, age 65 of La Crosse, was following a slow moving farm vehicle on Highway 80 near the intersection of Lone Road in her 2007 Toyota Highlander. Following Glissendorf was Daniel Powell, age 17 of Cuba City, in his 2001 Buick Lesabre. The farm vehicle slowed to turn west into a private driveway. Glissendorf slowed her Toyota. Powell did not see the vehicles slowing and crashed into the Toyota. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were assisted on scene by Cuba City EMS. Powell was issued a citation for inattentive driving. The Grant County Sheriff was assisted on scene by Cuba City EMS, Cuba City Fire, Cuba City Police Department, and SOS Towing (Platteville).


One Vehicle crash with Injury

At 5:43 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a one vehicle crash with injuries on Grandview
Road near Willow Road in Liberty Township. After investigation, it was determined that Allen Berntgen, age 44, of Potosi was traveling east on
Grandview Road when he swerved to miss a deer causing him to lose control of his 2007 Honda CR-V ending up over the embankment
striking a tree. Berntgen was transported to Grant Regional Health Center for minor injuries. Assisting at the scene included, Stitzer Fire,
Lancaster Fire for JAWS, Lancaster EMS and Donnie's Tire and Auto. 
One Vehicle Crash with Injuries

HWY 35/61/81 / HWY 129, LANCASTER, WI 53813
On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 10:48pm, the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a one vehicle crash at the intersection of US
Highway 35/61/81 and Highway 129, on the south end. After investigation, it was determined that Megan E. Gale, age 21, of Forest Lake
Minnesota was traveling north bound in a 2015 Chevrolet Cruse on US Highway 35/61/81 as she approached the intersection too fast, she missing her turn and as result, her vehicle hit the median and came to rest in the ditch. Megan was transported to Grant Regional Health
Center with minor injuries. Assisting on the scene included: Lancaster Fire, Lancaster EMS, and Donnie's Tire and Auto. The crash remains
under investigation
