Bullet strikes residence 
CFS19-33699 11/28/19 BORAH RD, FENNIMORE, WI 53809
On 11-28-19 at approximately 11:30am, a bullet went through a residence, owned by Joel Belstra 37 of Fennimore, in Mount Ida Township
during a family get together. It was unknown where the bullet came from. The Grant County Sheriff Office and the Wisconsin DNR investigated
the incident. The investigation found that a neighbor, Kevin Zart 30 of Fennimore, was out hunting with his young son. Kevin fired 3 rounds at
deer, 2 rounds were in the direction of the Belstra residence. The direction Kevin fired was consistent with the path of the bullet into and
through the residence. No one was injured in this incident. Charges will be filed for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon against
Kevin. Assisting at the scene was the Wisconsin DNR.
**Persons arrested by the Grant County Sheriff's Office are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. An arrest is only an
indication that probable cause exists to bring formal charges.** The names of victims and witnesses to a crime have been withheld in
accordance with §950.04.
1 Vehicle Rollover
CFS19-33708 11/28/19 HWY 133 / OAK LN, CASSVILLE, WI 53806

On November 28, 2019 at approximately 1:58 PM Yvonne Hilby, age 60 of Cassville, was traveling West on Highway 133 near the intersection of Oak Lane, Waterloo Township in her 2016 Jeep Cherokee. Hilby was traveling with 3 other family members. Hilby fell asleep while drivingcausing the Cherokee to leave the North side of the roadway. The Cherokee crashed into a ditch causing the vehicle to overturn. The Cherokee came to rest on its wheels. All individuals were transported to Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster for evaluation. Hilby was cited for driving with an expired drivers license. All occupants were wearing seat belts. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Cassville Fire, Cassville EMS, Potosi EMS, and Arrow Towing (Lancaster).


One vehicle crash with injuries

CFS19-33884 11/30/19 MODEL RD, CUBA CITY, WI 53807

On Saturday 30 November 2019 at approximately 1912 hrs, the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one vehicle crash on Model Road in Smelser Township. Jenna H. Cooper (16) of Hazel Green was traveling east on Model road when her 2004 Chevrolet Venture
Van left the roadway and entered the right ditch. Cooper over corrected, crossed the center line and crashed into the north ditch. Cooper sustained injuries and was transported to Midwest Medical Center in Illinois. The Venture Van was a total loss. Assisting the Sheriff's Office was the Cuba City Fire Department, Cuba City EMS and Munyon's Towing of Cuba City.
