One Vehicle Crash with Entrapment results in Fatality
CFS19-31052 11/01/19 HWY 81 / RATTLESNAKE RD, CASSVILLE, WI 53806
On November 1, 2019 at approximately 7:34 am Grant County Deputies were dispatched to a report of a one vehicle crash on Hwy 81 near
Rattlesnake Rd located in the Township of Beetown. Julie Kuenster, age 60 from rural Cassville, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 81 nearRattlesnake Rd in her 2009 Chevy Aveo. Kuenster's vehicle left the roadway, onto the gravel shoulder, on the south side of Hwy 81. Kuensterthen over corrected the vehicle and slid across Hwy 81 in a counter clockwise manor. Once on the north side of Hwy 81 the rear passenger's
side of the vehicle struck a guardrail end and violently spun in a clockwise manor. Kuenster's vehicle then went head first into a rock wallembankment. Kuenster was wearing her seatbelt and airbags were deployed. Kuenster was entrapped in the vehicle and was extricated by

The Bloomington Fire Department and Bloomington Jaws. Kuenster was transported to Grant Regional Health Center via West Grant EMS for
life threatening injuries. The vehicle was removed from the scene by B&M Towing of Bloomington.

From Grant Regional Health Center, Kuenster was transported to UW Hospital in Madison via Med Flight. On Friday November 8, 2019 The Grant County Sheriff's Office was informed that Kuenster had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and passed away.
This is the 10th person killed in a crash in Grant County for 2019 (Nine crashes total, with 10 people killed).

One vehicle roll over
CFS19-31293 11/04/19
On November 4, 2019 at approximately 12:48 a.m., the Grant County Dispatch Center received a call of a one vehicle roll over on Pitzen Lane just South of Dickeyville. Veltcho K Kocherov, age 34 of Chicago stated he was traveling South on USH 61 headed to Chicago. Kocherov's GPS instructed him to turn right onto USH 151, but he turned early onto Pitzen Lane. Due to excessive speed, Kocherov was 
unable to negotiate a curve in the road. His 2005 Gold Chevrolet Impala slid into the left ditch, crashed into an Alliant Energy power pole and rolled several times. Kocherov and his passenger Pricy Salgado age 28 also of Chicago, received minor injuries. Both refused transport. The vehicle was a total loss. Assisting the Grant County Sheriff's Office was the Dickeyville Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS and Donnie's Tire and Tow. The crash remains under investigation.

Farming accident injures 20 month old CFS19-16628 06/18/19 UNION RD, Platteville Wisconsin. On June 18, 2019 at approximately 7:02 pm, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a 20 month old boy who was involved in a farmingaccident at a residence on Union Road. James Zimmerman was working in the barn and turned to shut the conveyor off. When he did, his 20 month old boy fell into the conveyor. The 20 month old boy suffered a serious injury to his right arm, right hand, right shoulder, left hand and chest. A Sheriff's Deputy and Southwest Health EMS arrived on scene and stabilized Brandon for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Southwest Health EMS and the Platteville Fire Department for setting up a landing zone for Med Flight. The Sheriff's Office determined this a accident.

CFS20-17002 Date 07/16/20 ONE VEHICLE CRASH WITH MINOR DAMAGE Address HWY 18 / OAK RD, FENNIMORE, WI 53809 On July 16, 2020, at approximately 7:55 A.M., Jessica Kricke (22 of Fennimore), was driving her 2009 Lincoln MKZ wes on Hwy 18 in Mt. Ida Township, when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road and drove into the north ditch. Kricke drove over several large rocks in the ditch, which caused damage to the undercarriage of her vehicle. Collision Specialists responded and removed the vehicle from the ditch. Kricke was wearing her seat belt and wasn't injured in the crash. No charges will be filed in this matter. CFS20-17036 07/16/20 Attempt to locate suspicious vehicle Pine Grove Road / Whig Rd,  PLATTEVILLE, WI 53818 On July 16, 2020 at approximately 2:00 PM a juvenile female was jogging on Pine Grove Road near the intersection of Whig Road, Platteville Township. Three Vehicle Crash 10/07/20 County Road U / Salis Road, POTOSI, WI On October 7, 2020

Three Vehicle Crash 10/07/20 County Road U / Salis Road, POTOSI, WI On October 7, 2020 at 5:21 PM the Grant County Dispatch Center received a report of a three vehicle crash at County Road U and Salis Road. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Ryan Flesch, age 31 of Potosi, was traveling east on County Road U, behind a 2005 Toyota Sienna, driven by Hilary Sahr, age 39 of Cassville. Sahr activated her right turn signal and began to slow to turn right onto Salis Road. Flesch did not see that Sahr was slowing to make a turn and struck the rear of her vehicle. The impact caused the Sahr's vehicle to cross the center line and spin around and strike a 2013 Volkswagen Passat, being driven by Randy Reynolds of Potosi, coming to a rest in the westbound lane. Between the three vehicle's involved there were 11 occupants. Flesch was cited as a result of the crash. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Bennett's Automotive Services.  No injuries were report
