Vehicle Moving over for Squad Car Strikes Traffic Sign Address HWY 133 / JOHNSON ST, BOSCOBEL, WI 53805 

On June 5, 2020 at approximately 10:38 pm, Deputies were responding to a report of a physical domestic disturbance. A Deputy was westbound on Highway 133 near Johnson Street in the Township of Boscobel driving with emergency lights and siren activated. The Deputy was approaching a pickup truck also westbound on Highway 133. The truck began to slow down and move to the shoulder of the road as the squad car got closer. The truck then entered the ditch on the right side of the road, struck a metal traffic sign post, exited the ditch, and came to a rest on the shoulder of the road. The Deputy who witnessed the crash stopped to check on this driver, while other deputies continued to the domestic disturbance. After investigation, it was found that Rocky Foust, age 53 of Muscoda, was operating his 2000 Chevy S10 on Highway 133. Foust stated he observed the squad car approaching and was attempting to move to the side of the road but he got over too far and entered the ditch. Foust was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash. The truck received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
