On February 14, 2020 at approximately 7:45 A.M., Jacob Burks, age 41 of Lancaster, was driving his 2003 Chevy Silverado east on Cty A,and stopped at the stop sign at Hwy 129 in South Lancaster Township. Mr. Burks didn't see a north bound Chevy Equinox on Hwy 129, due tothe sun being in his eyes. Mr. Burks traveled east from the stop sign and struck the driver's side of the Chevy Equinox that was being driven
by Rachel Richardson, age 34 of Platteville. The 2012 Equinox received minor driver's side damage and the Silverado also received minor
damage. All parties were wearing seat belts and no injures were reported. Mr. Burks was cited for Fail/Yield Right/Way from a stop sign. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by the drivers and Lancaster Police Department assisted at the scene. 

One Vehicle Crash
CFS20-04095 02/15/20 MODEL RD / SLAATS RD, CUBA CITY, WI 53807
On February 15, 2020 at approximately 6:00am the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a one vehicle roll over on Model Rd near Slaats Rd located in the Township of Smelser. Hunter Rood-Reuter, age 16 from Benton, was traveling westbound on Model Rd in his 2009 Dodge Avenger, when he hit snow drift on the crest of a hill. This caused the vehicle to lose control, enter the ditch on the north side ofthe road, and roll one time. The vehicle came to rest on it wheels facing westbound. Rood-Reuter was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. The vehicle sustained heavy Damage.
